Finding the right staff for your company does not need to be overwhelming. It is hard to pick a new staff member from hundreds of applications, but there are steps you can take to narrow down your search.

You can also get limited information for free with a basic web search.

Ask for a copy of school transcripts. A student with good grades indicates someone who takes pride in their work.
Search social media for character.

Test applicants. Develop a written or physical test to evaluate skill level.
Low grades, a post in bad taste or a questionable background does not necessarily eliminate the person from consideration but it can give you the opportunity to have a conversation about it.
Finally, once you have found your new employee, call your WOB Advisor to be sure you have all the updated forms and withholding tax updates required to begin employment.
